Ben Sawyer Bridge Rehabilitation Project
(Charleston, South Carolina)
Tidewater personnel were contracted to assist with National Environmental Policy Act
(NEPA) documentation, 404/401 permitting, wetland & critical area delineations, regulatory
agency coordination, and a protected species assessment for the rehabilitation of the Ben
Sawyer Bridge located between Mount Pleasant and Sullivan's Island.

SCDOT On-Call Environmental Contract (Statewide, South Carolina)
Tidewater has been contracted by the South Carolina Department of Transportation
to provide 'On-Call' environmental services for transportation projects throughout
South Carolina. Tidewater is responsible for wetland and critical area delineations,
404/401 permitting, protected species surveys, NEPA documentation, and mitigation banking services.

Big Pine Tree Mitigation Bank (Camden, South Carolina)
As part of our 'On-Call' agreement, Tidewater has been contracted by the South
Carolina Department of Transportation to project manage the SCDOT wetland mitigation bank in
Camden, South Carolina. Services include, wetland delineation, GPS survey and regulatory
approval; Mitigation Bank Review Team (MBRT) coordination; implementation of the banking
instrument and restoration plan; restoration construction oversight; finalization of the
wetland mitigation banking instrument; mitigation bank monitoring; and mitigation bank
credit tracking.

Marine Corps Air Station Wetland Services (Beaufort, South Carolina)
Tidewater has been contracted to perform a wetland and critical area delineation and
GPS survey for the entire MCAS Installation and Laurel Bay Housing Area. A total of 6,500
acres will be delineated and surveyed. The critical area and freshwater wetlands delineated by
Tidewater will be reviewed and approved by regulatory agencies. In addition, Tidewater is
performing on-going wetland mitigation monitoring on an approximately 40 acre mitigation area
created for a previously permitted project. |
Beazer Homes Inc. (Charleston, South Carolina)
Beazer Homes contracted Tidewater to permit wetland impacts associated with a residential
development in Charleston County. Tidewater personnel were responsible for submitting and tracking
a Joint 404/401 permit application and also developing and implementing a wetland mitigation plan
for the proposed development.

Carolina Yacht Club (Charleston, South Carolina)
Tidewater was responsible for submitting and tracking through the regulatory process a permit
for reauthorization of maintenance dredge activities at the Carolina Yacht Club in Charleston.
Additionally, Tidewater coordinated engineering services for needed dock improvements.

Tolers Cove Marina (Mount Pleasant, South Carolina)
Tidewater was responsible for submitting and tracking through the regulatory process a permit
for reauthorization of maintenance dredge activities at Tolers Cove Marina in Charleston. Tidewater
was also responsible for collection of sediment and water quality samples for the analytical testing
necessary for renewal of the permit.

Whitney Lakes (Johns Island, South Carolina)
Tidewater has been contracted to complete and submit a Joint 404/401 Permit Application for a
multi-use/multi-phased commercial and residential development on Johns Island.

Windsor Lake Residential Development (Columbia, South Carolina)
Tidewater personnel were contracted by a private developer in the midlands to perform a
wetland delineation to facilitate planning for a residential development. Tidewater performed
additional coordination with regulatory agencies for docks and to determine regulatory exempt activities.

The Retreat at Grand Harbor (Greenwood, South Carolina)
Tidewater personnel conducted and completed a Jurisdictional wetland determination and
coordinated regulatory approval for a planned residential subdivision located on Lake Greenwood.
Additionally, Tidewater coordinated, submitted, and successfully tracked a 404/401 Permit which
was necessary for the subdivision development.

Highway 28 Bridge Replacement (Abbeville, South Carolina)
Tidewater personnel were subcontracted to the South Carolina Department of Transportation to
perform NEPA documentation for a bridge replacement over a CSX railroad in Abbeville.

South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Beach
survey Project (Statewide, South Carolina)
At the request of the Environmental Protection Agency, the South Carolina Department of
Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) initiated a Tier 3 Beach Survey to prioritize water
quality analysis efforts at limited access beaches throughout coastal South Carolina.
Tidewater was contracted by SCDHEC to coordinate with personnel from SCDHEC - Bureau of Water,
SCDHEC Environmental Quality Control (EQC) offices to identify and rank Tier 3 beaches according
to their potential risk to public health. This information is being used to develop the monitoring
program for Tier 3 beaches.
